MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the DeBaun Center for
Performing Arts is to provide education in the performing and
creative arts, by operating a broad-based arts facility. Programming includes:
- artists-in-residence (individuals and arts organizations
that are co-produced by the DeBaun Center) challenging the expertise of the student staff, and
enhancing the culture and education of the community.
- classes, workshops, and presentations that introduce and
explore creativity and techniques in the arts.
- special events and productions that feature and support
emerging artists in New Jersey and the surrounding areas.
- outreach to groups who normally would not experience the
arts.
- training and development of the Auditorium's student staff in the technical and operational aspects of theatrical production.
