Siobhan Barry-Bratcher - Irish figure skaters, city dwelling possums, Jerry Garcia's artwork, recalcitrant old houses, and mornings in small towns are just a few of the topics Siobhán Barry-Bratcher has covered in her poetry, prose and articles. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1954, Siobhán writes about everything because she believes there are no boring subjects. Her first book, a memoir titled, Brushstrokes: A Work In Progress was praised by reviewers and readers alike for its wit, sentimentality and realism. Her second book, Golden, a young adult historical novel set in the late 1960s, was released in October 2007. Siobhán's articles and poetry have appeared in various publications such as The Greenpoint Gazette, Waterfront Week, The Hudson Current, and Recreational Ice Skating. Her short story, "The Mayor of Pigtown", was the first-place winner of the Brooklyn Board's 2002 Best of the Brooklyn Diary contest. Siobhán's latest projects include another novel and a screenplay titled "Winfield". She resides with her family in Hudson County, New Jersey. David Vincenti has always devoted his energy to the making and publishing creative writings, including poetry to class magazines and original speeches for forensics competitions in high school, editorship of the campus literary journal and articles for the newspaper in college, and publications in regional and national arenas since then. His poems have appeared in such journals as The Journal of New Jersey Poets, The Paterson Literary Review and The Christian Science Monitor. He has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and has contributed articles to Poetic Voices and The Stevens Indicator. David is an alumnus of Stevens Institute of Technology and lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughters. www.davidvincenti.com |
